LOVELAND, Ohio — Loveland City Schools to begin the phased-in return to in-person schooling on October 5.
UPDATE (12:23 p.m.): School district sends follow-up email noting change does NOT apply to the remote academy, or virtual, students.

In a school district press release, school officials announced the impending change. School board members voted 3-2 Tuesday evening to return on the following schedule:
October 5: PreK-4th grade on October 5,
October 12: Grades 5 through 8
October 26: Grades 9 through 12
It is unclear if this applies to all students – or just students who opted for the blended learning model. Virtual students were told upon selecting that method a return to school would not be considered prior to the second semester, which starts in January. School district officials did not immediately respond to questions seeking clarification.
“We appreciate the support and flexibility from our Loveland families, students and staff for a successful start to our school year in the blended model. We also appreciate everyone’s feedback that is guiding our administration and board,” Dr. Kathryn Lorenz, school board president, said in a release. “After careful consideration, the (school) board has approved the return of 5-day in-person instruction over the next few weeks. We will continue to monitor the situation, and adjust our plans as needed. As always, we have the best interest of our community’s educational needs in mind during this time, while doing the best we can as a district to keep our students and staff healthy.”
