UPDATE: Child found in Deerfield Township pond has died


DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio The five-year-old male with autism who was located in a retention pond was pronounced deceased at the hospital last evening. This is an on-going investigation but it appears to be a tragic accident.

June 5, 2020 10:00 p.m.
On June 5, 2020, at approximately 7:08 p.m., Deputies were called to the area of 7830 Birchwood Court in Deerfield Township for the report of a missing five-year-old male with autism. Deputies and fire units searched the immediate area and located the victim in a retention pond. The juvenile victim was transported to a local hospital. At this time no further information will be released as this is an on-going investigation.
