2020 Construction Projects
Annual Road Program– The annual road program was budgeted to have $849,750 in 2020. A construction project contract for paving will be publicly advertised and bid in February, 2020. The roadways to be resurfaced will be determined in spring and construction is anticipated to take place through the summer. On-street parking restrictions and minor traffic delays are expected.
West Loveland Ave. at Wall St. Traffic Signal Improvements– The City of Loveland has budgeted for construction improvements to the traffic signal at W. Loveland Ave. and Wall St. for 2020. The intersection will receive replacements of the controller, wiring, and other features, as well as an upgrade to radar vehicular detection capability, GPS pre-emption and decorative poles. The project construction is anticipated to be publicly advertised and bid in June, with contract award and construction commencement as early as July, 2020.
Broadway St. Stabilization– A total of $460,900 in funding from OPWC was awarded to the City of Loveland, half in a grant & half in a 0% interest loan. The project will include a drilled pier wall and guardrail parallel to a section of Broadway St., culvert replacement across Hanna Ave. near Broadway St., other storm sewer system improvements, and pavement repairs. Geotechnical borings and a survey are expected to take place in February – March. The construction project will publicly advertise and bid in June, with contract award and construction commencement after July 1, 2020.
Nisbet Park Improvements– The City of Loveland was awarded a $18,294 grant from ODNR to assist with restroom renovations in Nisbet Park. The budget for this project is $24,392 with the grant and required local match. Construction is anticipated to be complete by summer, 2019.
McCoy Park Improvements– The City of Loveland was awarded a $16,500 grant from Clermont County to assist with the replacement of basketball goals and the swingset at McCoy Park. Other site furnishings such as benches will also be included. The budget for this project is $22,000 with the grant and required local match. Construction is anticipated to be complete by summer, 2019.
